How The 1960’s Changed The World

From Motown to Rock, the British invasion came in like a storm and so did all the FREAKIN HIPPIES.

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys and CCR are  just a some artists that stood out in the sixties. The bands were influenced by early rocker’s such as Chuck Berry,  Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. The hits I enjoy are Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones, Wild Thing By The Troggs, Boy In a Bubble by Paul Simone, and  Mercedes Benz by Janis Joplin.

Here is A playlist to get any 60’s party rockin!

I think it took more talent back in 60’s to be an artist. These days you just need is auto tune and Dubstep in a song to get fame and money.

I came across this really old Dr. Pepper commercial. It’s pretty retro, even though I prefer coke.

Here it is

What Kind Of Person Do You Want To Be?

I want to be a caring person who helps people that have ADHD and are going through rough stuff everyday. Let’s be aware and make a difference together as a community, as a school and as one in Christ.

How can we make a difference?

A good place to start would be find a need and fill. Don’t go far, just within the reach of your life. Since I have ADHD I want  to reach out others how also struggle with it.

What can you do become the person you want to be?

I want to be really close to God and I want to a person who overcomes any problem that comes up in my life.

What kind of person does God say we should be in His Word?

I got this from Jeremiah 1:17-19

17 “Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

"I made all of this out of nothing.

Trust me, I can take care of you"

Another Year 2013

I just wanted to start us off by saying thanks for checking out my blog. I really appreciate you taking the time to look at it.

So a couple of weeks ago I was worried about my future and I still kinda am. Then I heard this song called Don’t You Worry Child by the famous house trio Swedish House Mafia featuring John Martin. The lyrics goes like this, "don’t you worry child he (God) has got a plan for you" bam it just struck me in a really powerful way and it changed the way i think now. I can’t wait till the spring so I can mountain bike on the sick trails. To tell you the truth i am not that good but i hope to get better. In conclusion, I know it's going to be a good year and here is a quote that I want to leave you with by Saint Patrick.

"Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me."

This Crazy Thing Called Stress

"Having a rough day?

Place your hand over your heart.

Feel that? That's called purpose.

You're alive for a reason.

Jesus Loves You."

Today I want to talk about a thing called stress. It happens to everyone. You can feel it sometimes or you can feel it most of the time. It hurts and it is hard to get past but it feels so good after you get through it.

Stress can be caused by a lot of things, such as:

• bullying
• social issues
• family
• deaths
• abuse
• or whatever is going in your life

This is how I overcome stress. I put on some chill indie music to relax my soul, mind and heart. I also like to read an inspirational book or some encouraging quotes.

Here are some quotes that I find encouraging.

"A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes."

Mahatma Gandhi

"Stress is an important dragon to slay - or at least tame - in your life."

Marilu Henner

"It's amazing how stress keeps you trim."

Peter Andre

Here is a playlist that may help you let go some of the stress in your life. So listen to these relaxing and soothing songs. I hope you enjoy :)

Dubstep Realm

Dear Dubstep,

Oh sweet Dubstep.

Your bass is like the roar of a dragon,

Your drum lines are like a raging sea,

Your samples leave me breathless,

oh sweet, sweet Dubstep,

oh how I love you so!

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music. It has epic bass drops that get the crowd on their feet and ready to party! Dubstep is growing world wide. Even some "Top 40" artists try to be popular by using dubstep in their songs. Dubstep started in london in a town called Croydon (South London). Ammunition Promotions, who run the club “Forward>>”, are thought to be the first to use the term “Dubstep” to describe this style of music. I find that pretty cool... Knife Party and Datsik Droptek are two Dubstep artist that I enjoy.

Dubstep makes me feel pumped up and excited. I feel like I have be to do something when I listen to and not just sitting down. It gives me energy and can make me hyper. I couldn’t listen to dubstep all the time because it would be annoying. I need to balance Dubstep and normal music. I like dubstep because of the sick bass drops and what it is now and what it will be in future of this pop culture.

Video Of The Week

Here everyone just starting a new thing on the blog, it's called...... the video of the week. Some will be funny and some will be random.

So here it is. http://youtu.be/CYbVpAwGGGs

Have Fun.

There Is Nothing Like The Aerosmith Groove

Aerosmith is a band that had a different kind of sound in the old school rock era. Their lead singer is Steven Tyler and they have been together since 1970. Steven Tyler has an awesome rock personality. He grew up in Yonkers, New York and was a classical musician and pianist. He also plays the harmonica and the piano.

Tyler had a heavy drug and alcohol addiction. The band had several hits that include Dream On and Dude (looks like a lady). These songs quickly became top hits for the band. The band thought of the saying “Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll". I honestly think rock is more than just that. It is about good music, good morals and they really don’t need to promote sex and drugs. You don’t need to get high and have lust in your heart to Rock and Roll. Those things will mess up your life.

Here are some sweet quotes that Steven Tyler has said:

"Good night, everyone- and remember- in this world, if you wanna get ahead, you gotta learn to give a little!"

"I remember the first guy who offered me a joint in the bathroom. I said 'No, man, I've got enough problems.'"

"Life`s a journey, not a destination."

I think Steven Tyler really shook up the rock world. He made a huge impact in the history of Rock and Roll much like elvis, but in a different way. He will stil Rock out until his dying days.

If I could play any instrument it would be the drums because animal from the muppets played them. The city that I would love to play in most is in Lancaster, Great Britain. If I could choose any band to be in it would be Queen because Freddie Mercury would be awesome to rock with.

Loving God with All You Got

Loving God is so important in life. We need to realize that God doesn't need us, but we really need Him. We should love Him with all we are because He has done so much for us. Recently God saved me when I was hit by a car on my bike. I thank God that I am alive and well. If I was not wearing a helmet I could have been dead. I would not have had the opportunities I have now if God didn’t save me. I AM GOING TO LIVE MY LIFE ACCORDING TO WHAT GOD HAS PLANNED FOR ME.

Quote Of The Day

"God knows who belongs in your life and who doesn't.

 Trust and let go.

Whoever is meant to be there will still be there."

Prasie The Most High

Ouch!

Living Inside Ourselves

Sometimes people think that I can be annoying because I have ADHD. I try to let them know that I can't help it and that it is cool to be different. Everyone is different and that is a good thing. We all have our issues whether we like it or not. Just a point to think about.

Today I was given this quote from somebody i feel close to :)

"Don’t stay where you are tolerated, go where you are celebrated!"

This quote means a lot to me because I care about who I am. It is important to go somewhere that you're loved and where you enjoy hanging out with people who love you. Whatever is going on in your life you can turn to the most high, that is the Lamb Of God. Here is a verse if you need hope in your life now and your days to come. This verse
gets me every time i read it.(goose bumps much?)

"I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for me, you’ll find me." This verse is taken from Jeremiah 29:11-14.

Thank you Lord for this verse and thank you for your Word that we can read and get hope and knowledge from.

This is what Mother Teresa has to say about life.

“Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”
― Mother Teresa

Amen
